If you are trying to snap a clean screenshot of the scenery or just want to clear out some screen real estate during a massive faction battle, tracking down the user interface settings in Aion 2 can be a little confusing at first. Unlike older MMORPGs that rely on a quick, universal hotkey to toggle everything off at once, NCSoft’s latest build takes a much more modern, customizable approach.

Following a series of major updates aimed at optimizing the game specifically for PC players, the developers transitioned away from the rigid, mobile-style HUD that felt overly cluttered. In its place, they implemented a highly flexible, grid-based layout system. This shift gives us a ton of control over what we see on screen, but it also means the option to hide your UI isn't just a simple on/off button.

The core option to hide or fully customize your interface is located deep within the game's Advanced HUD Editor. You can easily access this tool through the main Settings menu right under the UI / Interface tab.

How to Hide and Customize UI Elements
Instead of forcing an "all-or-nothing" toggle switch that completely blinds you to your health bar or cooldowns, Aion 2 gives you granular positional freedom. You can pick and choose exactly what stays and what goes. Here is the step-by-step breakdown to clean up your screen:

Open the Menu: Press Esc on your keyboard to pull up the standard pause menu, then navigate directly to Settings.

Access the Editor: Click over to the UI / Interface tab on the left sidebar and look for the option labeled Advanced HUD Editor.

Hide Specific Elements: Once inside the editor, you can click on the specific pieces of information clutter or individual HUD sections you want to get rid of and toggle their visibility status to Hidden / Off.

Batch Processing: If you don't want to tweak every single box one by one, you can take advantage of the batch system. The editor allows you to group multiple frames together, making it incredibly easy to hide or scale large sections of your screen simultaneously.

Persistent UI Elements (Known Limitations)
While the new grid system is a massive upgrade for clean setups, it isn't completely perfect yet. If your main goal is absolute immersion and you are trying to hide every single breaking element, there is a common community complaint you should know about before diving into the menus.

Self-Name and Health Bars: Your own character name and the personal health/mana bars that sit directly above your avatar's head cannot be completely toggled off through the standard settings menu right now. They stay locked on to ensure you can still locate yourself easily during chaotic, particle-heavy combat sequences.

Hopefully, NCSoft adds a true toggle for these in a future patch, but for now, they are here to stay. For everything else—like quest trackers, chat boxes, and action bars—the Advanced HUD Editor has you covered. Spend a few minutes grouping and hiding your frames, and you'll have a beautifully clean screen ready for whatever Atreia throws at you next.
